Dave Walton
Director of Claims Litigation
Dave is the Director of Claims Litigation for the Heath Care Division of Gallagher Risk Management Services. He brings 20 years of experience in the medical professional liability field and has managed litigation in many venues across the country. Dave received his B.S. from the University of Indianapolis, and a J.D. from the University of Dayton School Of Law.
Simone Klein
Litigation Specialist
Simone brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry to the Health Care Division of Gallagher Risk Management Services. She has served in various roles with State Farm Insurance and Cincinnati Insurance Company, as well as being a small business owner and producer of Insurance and Financial Services in the State of Alabama. She has managed claims personnel and files across the states of Alabama, Louisiana, and the entire United States following catastrophes. She specialized in litigation files and large losses. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1990 and has obtained the AIC and AIM designations . She is currently obtaining her CPCU designation. She has secured Series 6, Series 63, Alabama Life/Health and Property/Casualty insurance licenses and is a Notary Public for the state of Alabama.
Rachel Keeler
Litigation Manager
Rachel is a Litigation Specialist for the Health Care Division of Gallagher Risk Management Services. She brings experience in property and casualty claims handling, claims coverage, paralegal work, and legal operations. Rachel received her B.A. in English from Birmingham-Southern College. She also has her Associate in Claims (AIC) and an Associate in Insurance (AINS) certifications.
Mark McWhorter
Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. He joined Gallagher in December 2025 as a Litigation Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience in claims handling and litigation management.
Mark’s professional background includes private legal practice, followed by extensive experience managing medical professional liability and related general liability claims. His expertise spans working with physicians, dentists, allied healthcare providers, hospitals, and nursing homes. Additionally, Mark has handled claims across various jurisdictions within the State of Alabama as well as on a nationwide scale, demonstrating his versatility and deep understanding of complex litigation and claims processes.
In his role at Gallagher, Mark leverages his comprehensive legal and claims management expertise to deliver strategic solutions and drive successful outcomes for clients.
Tara Iona
Claims Advocate
Tara is a Claims Advocate with the Senior Living Practice Group. She joined Arthur J. Gallagher in March 2019 as a Commercial Claims Service Representative serving the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions. Tara obtained her Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and began her career as a recruiter with a search firm specializing in the adhesives and coatings industry.
Prior to joining Arthur J. Gallagher, Tara served as the Assistant for Administration and Finance for a church in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She has volunteered for numerous schools and organizations including serving as the Director of Volunteers for the non-profit Marley's Mission and as a member of the Advisory Board for Penn State Scranton.
Jasmine Johnson
Claims Advocate
Jasmine received her B.S. Degree in Psychology from Judson College, graduating in 2012. She has worked with at-risk youth at the Youth Villages. Jasmine has also worked for the Jefferson County Jail system in Birmingham.
Jasmine joined the Gallagher team in September of 2024 with a wealth of knowledge from her experience as an auto adjuster from Kemper
